I am not surprised that ‘Rainmaker’ has gone down so well in schools as the songs are both fun and accessible.
— SIR CAMERON MACKINTOSH

Absolutely beautiful Jan. Sent goosebumps chasing right up my spine and into my hair. I think you may also have a big hit on your hands here. If anyone in the world can write a song which captures the essence of a person, and turns it into music and words, you can. Your grandchildren are so lucky.
— Dr. Maggie Butt, Poet, Author & Royal Literary Fund Fellow

I cannot recommend Rainmaker more highly. Our parents were captivated and mesmerised with the extraordinary blend of exotic dances, scintillating costumes and a show that provided a phenomenal opportunity to have huge numbers performing vibrant and memorable scenes. A truly inspiring project with enchanting music packed with beautifully uplifting feel-good vibes.
— Ed Cousens, Westbourne House School

Your writing and your efforts have profoundly touched the lives of 54 sixth graders and their families. You gave us the vehicle to transport them to another time and place. We pushed them and they grew into more than we dreamed possible. The audience gave them a standing ovation. You have had such an impact on our kids, your words really made us shine in so many ways.
— David Johnson Marshall School, Duluth, Minnesota, USA

What an achievement. Oscar Wilde would have loved it!
— Sir Michael Morpurgo

The whole process was thoroughly enjoyable and the children loved the production. I still hear them singing in the corridors and they want to perform ‘Wired for Sound’ as their graduation song! It was great to watch the children grow throughout rehearsals. Many now wish to take drama classes as a result of doing Rainmaker, which is what it’s all about – helping them discover their gifts and talents. Thank you once again for such a great experience.
— Catherine Baillie, Melbourne Grammar School, Victoria, Australia

Rainmaker gave me goals and ideas, hopes and dreams. I don’t exactly like to be loud or to stand up in front of people and do stuff. It changed the way I looked at things and people.
— Sam, Thunder God

Of all the plays I’ve been in this is my favourite and the one I’ll remember for the rest of my life.
